Business After Hours
The Daytona Regional Chamber of Commerce will present a Business After Hours at 5 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 21, at Halifax River Yacht Club, 321 S. Beach St., Daytona Beach.
The cost is $15 for members and $35 for non-members. There will be networking, food, drinks and prizes.

Chamber celebrates tea shop opening
The Daytona Beach Regional Chamber of Commerce will host a ribbon- cutting ceremony from 4 to 5 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 22, at The Porch Kombucha Tea & Acai Cafe in Suite 10 at 212 S. Beach St., Daytona Beach.
The cafe specializes in more than 15 different flavors of kombucha, acai bowls and a variety of loose-leaf teas and coffee.

ERAU and Amerijet collaborate on pilot program
Amerijet International Airlines with launch a Pilot Pathway Program with Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University.
ERAU is the first university to sign an agreement with Amerijet to launch the program. The airline will recruit and provide mentoring and coaching to sophomores, juniors and seniors who are enrolled in ERAU’s Aeronautical Science degree program.
Upon successful completion of their degree, with proper FAA certification and having completed three semesters as full-time flight instructors at ERAU, candidates will be offered further training and employment with Amerijet.
Leadership program
Applications are being accepted until March 1 for the Ormond Beach Leadership Program.
Tuition is $500 for members and $650 for non-members.
Classes will begin March 25. Space is limited.

Boat drawing for Habitat
The 13th annual Business Expo & Home Show hosted by the Southeast Volusia Chamber of Commerce and presented by Advanced Air and Home Services was Feb. 4 in New Smyrna Beach.
In addition to featuring free fun for families, exhibitor booths, entertainment, food trucks and the newly created Style Showcase & Marketplace, the chamber, Boston Whaler and Southeast Volusia Habitat for Humanity kicked off an official boat drawing.
Edgewater-based Boston Whaler, one of the world’s leading boat manufacturers, helped the chamber buy a 2023 Boston Whaler 130 Sport.
Tickets are on sale for $100 each. Only 750 tickets will be sold and the winner will be drawn at the chamber’s annual meeting Nov. 15.

Healthcare financial network launched
Developed and designed by New Smyrna Beach-based JER Marketing Inc., RCR|HUB was launched as an online community dedicated to helping healthcare revenue cycle management teams connect and network.
The Revenue Cycle Resources hub hosts more than 1,000 business partners, links and insight to more than 6,000 hospitals, continuing education resources, 19 market-leading associations, an interactive calendar, and a bit of hubbub to help teams stay up to date on trends.

AM Connection set
The West Volusia Regional Chamber of Commerce AM Connection will meet at 7:30 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 21, in the Center at Deltona, 1640 Dr. Martin Luther King Blvd.
Admission is free for members and $10 for non-members. There will a snack food drive for Backpack Buddies. Small bags of cookies or chips, pudding cups, cheese crackers and fruit snacks are needed.

Extension offers homebuyer classes
The University of Florida/Volusia County Extension offers pre-purchase first-time homebuyer workshops that meet the education requirement for housing assistance programs.
Extension Agent Lisa Hamilton, a HUD-certified housing counselor and accredited financial counselor, will instruct the virtual classes on Microsoft Teams.
English language classes will be conducted at:
•5 to 9 p.m. Feb. 23
•9 a.m. to 1 p.m. March 17 and 24
•5 to 9 p.m. April 4 and 11
Spanish language classes will be conducted at:
•9 a.m. to 5 p.m. March 30 (one day)
•5 to 9 p.m. April 20 and 27
The classes consist of eight hours of education. Completion allows participants to apply for house-buying assistance from Volusia County and the City of Deltona.
The cost is $10 per household. Scholarships are available upon request.
